Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my site. I update this site regularly with new products, news and work in progress updates. I love to hear from my customers so feel free to leave feedback!
HOW I WORK:
In a nutshell I design it, sculpt it, prep it, mould it, cast it, prep it again, prime it, paint it, pack it and post it! Did you get all that? Phew! I work from my fantastic studio within my home, surrounded by beautiful countryside. I am a perfectionist to the finest detail. Each finished product you see in my shop has taken many hours of hard work before it arrives to you. Sculpting is my life. It is as necessary to me as breathing and I am blessed to have so many wonderful, supportive collectors around the world.
ABOUT MY PRODUCTS:
Once my original sculpture has been moulded, I then cast it in resin, silicone (my babies) or pewter. I also use a method called “cold casting” which is a process whereby I take finely ground pure bronze, brass or aluminium, mix it with a small amount of resin and allow it to set. Once fully set I can then polish the metal surface giving a superb finish and affordable end product. I do not use cheap bronze effect paints like a lot of other places, only the finest metals money can buy.
All my artworks are signed and come with a full Certificate of Authenticity where applicable (eg my portrait figures). My portrait figures are strictly Limited Edition of 100 pieces or less. I always have a waiting list for portraits so please do check the product description for up to date lead times.
I do not outsource any of my work like many other artists do. Why? Because as I mentioned, I am a perfectionist. No third party could possibly know how I want my work to turn out. My artworks are not mass produced and they are all unique in their own way.
I am honoured to have had my work published in seven International Magazines over the past few years.
Up until 2014 all my work had been totally one of a kind, made from polymer clay. I am known for my realism in miniature and fine detailing. You can see my unique work by clicking the “PORTFOLIO” link in the menu.
As you can see, I have a beautiful Dogue de Bordeaux. His name is Bob (aka “Bobble”) and we rescued him in November 2014 after losing our precious old boy Marley Moo to bone cancer. I started sculpting Dogue de Bordeaux pieces last year when I created a portrait of Marley before he passed. Bob now helps me in the studio with his stringent Quality Control, ensuring every piece is up to his Majesty’s high standards….
I LOVE animals, I LOVE sculpting and so the two have come together to form Wondersculpt! I hope you will enjoy browsing my site. There are some “work in progress” photos throughout the site as I like to show my collectors the process from start to finish. It illustrates just how much hard work goes into every single piece I produce. My ultimate goal is to bring some happiness into my collector’s lives. It makes me super happy to be able to bring you all something unique and if I can pass a bit of that happiness on with each piece I send out, my work is done!
So! That’s a little bit about me! I’m always happy to hear from you so feel free to drop me a line or ask any questions HERE.
